As you get closer
the light gets dimmer
It loses its rumoured shine
it eerily starts to shimmer

The magnified façade
was simply tricks and mirrors
Reflecting what you wanted
a race were you’re the winner

Denial is quite the river
when you’re a blind swimmer
The sharks will have a feast
