DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

In a
blistering heat,
I walk
aimlessly
Nowhere
to go,
No one
to turn to.
Is it
Only yesterday?
We are
so happy,
We went
to the beach
And make
a fool of
ourselves.
We act
like children,
As if
there’s no
tomorrow,
As if
we are the
only one there,
We savour
each moment.
We both
are so happy,
And spend
the whole day,
Laughing and
making jokes
with each other.
I don’t
want the day
to end,
I want us
to be together,
To spend
the rest of
our lives
Loving and
caring each other.
But I know,
this will
come to an end,
For tomorrow,
You will be
married to
somebody else…..
