Don’t keep your love poems from your muse

I woke to the pressure of your gaze
and the beauty in it beggared the stars
It roamed and breathed it all in
A gentle weight playing over my skin

My blood boiled to the heat of your kiss,
making my heart race and pound
It beat against my chest over and over
How could you not hear it’s sound?

I blushed to the knowing in your grin
with a warmth that spread through me
Unfurling like 4 o’clock flowers at dusk
Sweet, sweet sin
