Easy Prey

Every morning you tell me that you’re there
The endless stream of mails
Mostly sales, or discounts with silly names
They appear as if from nowhere
Inviting me to to buy in bulk or I’ll miss out
Trying to create FOMO about 60 toilet rolls
I despair
I try to take myself off these lists
But they persist to creep back in a surreptitious way
I’ve been marked as easy prey
