Shadow of mundanity
overtakes the light and leaves
a poem or poet less

despite our calculations
stalking dark are run amok
skies are over-scarred with cloud
and a voice astride the air
flees their silent landfall

another learns of angels
spread the wings of space

another turns and turns aside
his tear encratered face
