so we’re lost now

i’m not sure

because it’s so handy after all,

it even looks like a club

and the question mark is questionable

irregardless

soon after the period disappeared, i think

(oh, i know, people still say

but who knows what they really mean)

and speaking of mean

look out for the all-cappers

like the deliberate distortion of an over-amped heavy metal rock band

i think they’ve damaged my hearing

that dirge,

perhaps the keening din of grieving poets
