ENOUGH OF ME

Dialogue with the inner ‘ME’

I woke up with pain, a thought and a feeling,

Looked at the lord for help this morning.

Oh what a refulgent face of my lord, pain, thought and feelings quickly melt away.

I for a while looked into me staring from him away.

What a creature with the name of human am I,

Ignoring HIS Grace and closing my inner eye.

I thought of setting up a resolution today,

A resolution to be good to myself and my LORD everyday,

Alas, but let today not be like every other day,

I make a promise to just break it away,

Oh let today not be the day of guilty again,

While going to bed I realise, I have cheated myself again.

I pray to Him, and speak to HIM, but oh what an entanglement is this world,

I am defeated by its forces so badly and so bold.

I say i have surrendered to his will, yet my eyes flow tears,

I say I am all HIS, yet my heart goes with everything I hear.

Should I call this innocence

Or be true to myself and confess my ignorance,

Years passed away, life with stages,

Yet looking for what in this world so temporary for ages,

Truth is HE, I belong to HIM and he belongs to not just ME,

When HE belongs to everyone, why fight with anyone, for anyone too would belong to ME.

HE said to share and care and live with HIM,

Yet missed to understand that oneness with all is oneness with HIM,

Instead shared, cared and lived just for ME, and questioned almighty, where is HE?

Live for ME, and story of life will only be ME,

Live for others and there is HE,

When Truth is HE and everything is HIS,

Why to worry and be sorry about ME,

For life is a gift to serve HIM and not ME.

Yes, where there is ‘ME’, there is no place for ‘HE’

And where there is ‘HE’, nothing is ‘ME’.
