Entry 160

The TV works fine
Though
I covered the screen
With duct-tape

The potential of it
To distract me
Was just too great

I no longer watch
Entertainment
Yet my brain is not starving

I ate & I ate

Still I eat
Books of poetry

Tasting technique

Consuming outstanding expression

That damn screen had no flavor
Yet my eyes were always drawn

My attention dashed

Passion quietly passed

Nothing else seems to suppress my apathy
Or my creativity
So efficiently

Advertising bankrupt soul
To my wayward mind

Duct-tape removed the static I felt
Clinging between myself and
That endless slideshow
