Fog

I struggle to see the road ahead
I panic, raise my high beams
I think I can force a clear path
Instead I’m blinded
The once hazy clouds
Now a solid white wall
In forcing clarity I’ve only made it worse

Calm down. Back to basics
No high beams in fog
I slow down, but I cannot stop
I must keep going, I have somewhere to be
But how do I see the way?

Don’t look ahead
Stay right here
Find the edge of the road
Use the boundaries to find your way
Trust you’ve put yourself on the right road
Trust that road will take you where you long to go

Hopeless romantic, confessional poet, dreamer. Curious about words.
