Four Seasons of a Poem

Wrote a poem
Didn’t make sense
Tore it up
Threw it into the air
Words fell to the ground,
like autumn leaves
Magnificent colors,
masking decay
A mosaic of words
Composted meaning
Fertile soil,
for seeds of imagination
Winter’s words lay dormant
Germinating in the springtime
Growing in the summer
Autumn harvest
The poem returns,
upon itself.
