“From rain to dust…”

And when it started to rain,
it rained.
And the world stood still;
the rain pounded down,
the hail and the wind,
and in the center
the hush.
And when the sun came back out,
the light poured back in
as fast as the rain
with cacophonous chatter,
colors and noise;
and when it all ended,
it ended.
And darkness resounded,
it surrounded us too,
But with a sparkle and shine
the stars did still shimmer,
and the dust traveled by
unknowing and softly
orbiting round
before returning to ground.

And I in the mix
And you over there-
all particles and light
existing, just being,
through struggle
through hype,
like the rain and the wind,
the sun and the light,
together but apart
on this carousel of life.
