Fuck Ya’ll Crazies

we’re heading to western shores.

I’ll make something melancholy apparent
and allow a glance into my core
while this looming burn may lay all barren
there’s always hope on the far shore.

There are the hardened misplaced Patient
the folk whose proto-steps formed all
and as they watch more good become complacent
the oncoming darkness no longer they’ll stall.

Forewarning, soothsaying and prophecy
through youthful vigor all was ignored
now the dark’s grip has re-tightened
the Patient have seen it once before
the altruistic nature no longer heightened
they begin their journey relishing new infancy
