Justitia and Themis
always argued over Pisces,
and the iridescent quality of
their shiny scales.
Libra and Prudentia
on the other hand understood
that the two fish and their
colourful body language were
merely symbolic gestures
that signified balance, much like
pretty Yin and her faithful Yang.

But proving this point
beyond reasonable doubt
would require a balancing act that
no one but the gods themselves
could pass through
both Houses of Parliament;
for Themis and Justitia, albeit
authorities in their own right
were essentially one, and the same.
