You only see in black and white.
What is or isn’t.
You leave no space
For the in-between.
The pillow of white between each word
Or the delicate pause after the words we speak
Have no place in your mind.
You don’t search for the blurred lines
Or enjoy the feeling of feeling lost.
You shun the idea of exploring
The little things we don’t know.
I feel empowered by this subtle difference,
Yet I mourn.
I mourn for your inability to see the subtleties & complexities
That make feelings so intricate
And thoughts so vast.
