Her Prerogative (The World is Hers)

Her hair wrapped, Badu in headphones,

book in hand, cup of tea nearby;

the world could be hers

but she prefers this.

Sitting with tree bark massaging spine,

feet tapping rhythm in grass;

the world could be hers

but she prefers this.

Wrapped in sunlit kimono,

lavender breeze whirling around her;

the world is hers

but she rather chill.
