I accuse you!
I accuse you of a lack of respect
I accuse you of rudeness and indignity
I accuse you of insane beauty
I accuse you of a beautiful smile
I accuse you of being lazy
I accuse you of being smart
I accuse you of lying to yourself
I accuse you of thinking you are less than you are
I accuse you of cowardice
I accuse you of compassion
I accuse you of moral fixations
I accuse you of wanting what is right
I accuse you of sleeping in the daytime
I accuse you of sleeping by my side
I accuse you of making me laugh
I accuse you of telling me we fight
I accuse you of hating this poem
I accuse you of skipping over the next line
I accuse you of loving me
I accuse you of being precise
I accuse you of everything you ever did
I accuse you of what I never could be
I accuse you of wanting to be right
I accuse you of leaving me tonight
And I accuse you of running from my words
My words which you read alone by laptop-light
Because I know I’m clumsy and a little crass
But I know you love this and I know I’m right.
