I Don’t Know

“I don’t know”

that’s what you should have said years ago

instead of this perpetual battle with your ego

that pushed away the people you swore to protect

while being under oath

“I don’t know”

should have been the words blurted out

instead of never letting go

you’re all tired and full of sorrow

your heart eternally complained at your major blows

“I don’t know”

should have been written all over your chest

with your complete lack of compassion you’re a mess

your tears are dropping but it’s too late

you’re begging for reconciliation now that you’ve inspired hate

the expectations are high, you thought it was all a joke

meanwhile the fire of karma slowly brims your yoke.
