Illumination

Like the starry skies,
You illuminate me.
Filling my veins with light
So you can see me shine,
Millions of light years away.
Cover my skin in stars,
Outline constellations with my scars,
Baptize me in sprinklings
Of magical sparkling stardust.
Fill the emptiness in my chest
With the smiles of the coy full moon.
Give me a cosmic purpose —
I will be your swirling galaxies
And the all the suns and the moons.
And I promise, promise,
I promise —
I will never let your light dim.
You will be forever radiant.
