Before you were ready to actually live it
I’m sorry you’ll never witness, with those eager eyes
Whatever it was about, that you were dreaming

I’m sorry you were too young
To realise that you were just a kid
I’m sorry you grew up
Many sizes taller than were yours to fit

I’m sorry for never’ve been on your side
Letting you take the fall for my mistakes
