The potential of AI
I won’t lie
It’s exponential
The languages, the syntax
Have come a long way since
I started to code
Where hang the man was my first game
And noughts and crosses took me ages to compile
Never mind display
Where waterfall was the way, now everything is fast paced
Instantaneous
It’s a race
It’s agile
Just in time
Leaner
Meaner
Time to market is the motivation
No deviation or procrastination
Bugs may exist but they’ll put up with it
The prototype is live
We can debug later
It’s about being seen
Being first
Into production
Change control?
No, don’t worry it’s fine
Live
With scrum masters running sessions from Q cards
Iterative design
Online
And the biggest question is often navigation
Look and feel
It has to be sexy to seduce the user
Into submission
With visual effect to have affect
The wrapping taking precedence
The form over substance
The colour palette must contain tomato red, of course
How unusual
It makes a better user experience
The appearance?
The design and delivery
A bug free release
Should not be subsidiary
Providing solutions for problems, beyond human capability
With computational feats, realtime
Giving business the edge, the win
Should be the focus
The front end the icing on the cake
Once it is baked
But the misuse of technology
Now that’s another thing
Limits have been reached with data mining
The manipulation
With potential
For the money
The domination in the market
Gathering and analysing your viewing and taste
To make a killing
To hook into your inner feelings
Your dopamine
Your brain
Force feeding what you “want” to see
The addiction
The face feeding
The competition
The glut of information
Stifling the underlings
Frozen in a trance
Stopping us from doing anything
That isn’t a blinklist
The top 5 or 7 things we have to know
And then we’ll understand the fastest way
Where discovery as a concept
A wonderful experience is not valued enough
Unless you’ve read about it first
The inertia of it all
Comatosed by code
