Invisible

Can you see me, friend, or can you not?
Will your bullet hit me, if I am shot?
And if it does hit me, will my blood spill a lot?
Is there enough left, will it leave a spot?

And if the spot is made, will you give it a thought?
Whose blood is this, why is it so hot?
Would you look around, looking a bit distraught,
Don’t, you won’t see me, invisible I am, am I not?

What did you see, when you had your chance,
A piece of rotten flesh, not worth a second glance!
Pushed behind the throat, by your sudden onslaught,
Erased and burned, because I cannot be wrought..

On a crumpled piece of paper, see, how I still trot,
Too many to die I am, am I not?
Lying in wait, for that one kill shot,
You heard the gun cock buddy, did you not?!
