It’s Not a Night

I wore my heart on my sleeve
And I laughed till my heart’s content

The eclipse of the sun shadows many
And blinds many a heart more

Sips of wine cloud all judgment
And a drunkard I was all the time

With those whom I have loved
With those whom I have stopped

The candles of the last supper
Illuminate those who need not see

To those who are closer than the vein to my heart
It’s not a night, it’s not a night.
