It was just a fight

It was just a fight,
one raged moment
when sharp voices
cut through the door
jagged splinters flung across
trembling walls
thrashing into
cracked spaces
like shattering glass
no longer fragile
lying broken
in pieces
bleeding on the floor
seething anger
reflected off
burning eyes
foul words
punishing thoughts
laced in bad breath
that cruel voice…
a relationship was to die
so it did
it bled to death that day
whilst picking up harsh realities
off the tainted floor
slashed wrists marked the end
there were screams no more —
it was just a fight,
one raged moment.
