It’s been a decade

from the day I searched for the keys on a keyboard,
to a day I type a page out of nowhere in a minute.

from a day what mattered was HighScore on the screen,
to a day I could code a game I haven’t even seen.

from a day the only mate was just the fellow guy,
to a day where the worst pain is my girl’s cry.

from the day a stanza took an hour to fight,
to this day to be able to read a book o’er a night.

from a time when I knew none but dad n mom,
now they’re the only ones I run away from.

from the day complaining to mom the slightest pain,
into such a time when unexplained scars still remain.

from when lighting a match was nothing but fun,
to a time a lighter has become a necessary one.

from a day a syringe brought me nightmares for a week,
to a day I’ve learnt to needle myself to hype on weed.
