Last Breath

Lying in bed I wait
For the end that I anticipate
I know it’s nearly time to pay
And the life I’ve lived
Has seen brighter days
I knew it would come
My way
But not this fast
Not yet
I’m not done with my past
I still have time to play
Words to say
I don’t want my last breath
To be regret
