Late summer night

Late night
Bluegrass
Blue eyes

Black nails
Pale fingers

Smokes and cigarettes
The rustling wind
And a hazy sight

The shimmering streetlights
Your flickering fringes

Scatter delight

Over the memories
In my mind

Isn’t that how they are supposed to be?
A lonely late summer night.
