Liquid times

Everything is so fast
That I need to run
To not be left behind

When I hold to something
It melts away like water
In these liquid times

Everything changes
Nothing lasts forever
All things vanish
Nothing sticks together

Faces in movement
Indistinguishable in the crowd
Will I ever find the one
Before my time here is out?

It’s freezing cold outside
But within, my heart is still warm
Please, either make it burn again
Or mercifully put out the fire
