Looking for Solace

I spin to reach the top
Looking for solace
Outwards never inwards
The spaces are cold

Trickles roll down my cheek
It becomes too much
As darkness spreads
The shivers set in

I keep going
Remember that smile
In between the tears
It must be there…

I keep going
Just me
Always just me
Carrying the pain

Flash of a smile
Splash of tears
Rotating and rotating
Until the curtain drops.
