Loved

Until my heart beats no more,
you will be loved.

No matter what roads you travel,
hills you climb, fields you wander,
darkest forests, sun-lit plains,
no matter where you are in this world,
be it near or far, high or low,
in desert heat or icy flow,
you are loved.

Until my final breath,
you will be loved.

Whatever heartaches you endure,
joy of birth, pall of death,
blush of ardor, betrayal’s sting,
no matter what shape your heart is in
be it heavy or light, stained or clean,
by promises or broken dreams
you are loved.

Until I’ve gone into the dark,
you will be loved.

No matter what you do or do not know,
when your fears are overwhelming,
when you feel like giving up,
when your heart is torn,
when nothing makes sense,
when no where is home,
when you feel you are broken,
when the burden is too heavy,
when you have endured too much
and you can’t stop crying,
oh, my darling angel,
look at me,
you are loved.
