Butter and Batter

Racism is and does exist —

The liquor loosened your tongue, but didn’t make the words —

You can’t separate the butter from the batter after the cake is baked.

The words, the words, the words are on fire —

Racism is here and here might be in your mirror —

You can’t separate the butter from the batter after the cake is baked

Liquor lathered breath is like a stealth bomber —

I scream fried and you lick ice cream —
