Mother’s Day Poetry

We’ve reached the ‘deadline’ for submitting poems eligible for the Editor’s Pick out of the Mother’s-Day-related pieces.
ALMOST READY to share the Editor’s Pick. Sorry, a bit late, just another re-read of the top three to decide.

Of course, we’re always happy to receive and share more on that topic or any other. We’ll feature the Editor’s Pick for the MomDay poems shortly.

Hello Poets of the Unlimited Variety,

Are you a contributor to PoetsUnlimited and have the inspiration to put together a few poetic lines for Mother’s Day? (Note our style Guidelines — Note also that only official contributors can submit. Guidelines item#1 explains joining)

Write your poem and submit it before Sunday at noon my time (EST) — that’s 16:00 Sunday UTC — and your poem will be in the prominent part of the PoetsUnlimited page for Mother’s day.

(If you’d like to dedicate your poem, do so in a single line of text at the bottom of the poem).

You don’t need to still have a mother, like your mother, or be a mother, to get inspired. You can write all smiles and sunshine, or sad and desolate, or funny and quirky — whatever you wish.

I’ll FEATURE the BEST* poem at the top of the page at 17:00 UTC SUNDAY
(*best here being your humble editor’s totally subjective opinion).

As you click publish, perhaps use a “MothersDay” or “Mother” tag to highlight your piece.

Nothing to win but a bit of pride, and the gratitude of our 10,000+ subscribers.

If you’re one of our readers, watch for poems on a Motherly theme to appear this Saturday and Sunday.

All the best to all the mothers and mothered.

-Your Faithful Editor,
Ross.
