muzzle not the Season
you can muzzle me all you want — i’m not changing my Story.
when the One who made you comes down, you give glory.
There was a Commotion, there was a moving Star,
There were some Astronomers who Cameled quite far.
i was there, we all saw it, a Woman in those pains, with those prayers
a good Man beside her, and the hotels all booked at full fares.
and in to our crib they came join us at night,
and then a tender family cried and shivered in fright.
but alone they stayed not, for Bright Ones came Singing
And Low Ones came also, their Sheep and awe bringing
And the CHILD he glowed and then returned to normal
Like a King at his birth, but so far more informal
Perhaps the beasts are smarter, then the ones who come rope us
For we did not doubt when Love showed us what Hope was.
— Merry Christmas, friends!
