naked we go

naked we come, and naked we vanish

while we were here, whether Celtic or Spanish,

nothing will change how our wealth it can’t save us

nor the facts that our hangups and covets encave us

smarter is the beast who accepts just a peck

and never bothers to drape fancy things on its neck

feel yourself fleeting, what you hoped in, disintegrating

and give up the labor of glass and gold-plating

dress up instead in the garms of soul ready

to line up with Heav’n at that extra-real wedding

If you paint for me even one thing which is true, perhaps I’ll be tempted to consider two. I tell tales poetically, someone else needs to set them to music.
