Nothing to No one

Wandering Soul

Moving towards the end at last
Sooner or later, slow or fast
Prolonged exit or sudden jerk
Silent egress or noisy firework

All is preordained, that’s the common word
Like the flight of a blind bird
Are we ever meant to choose
Or walk in oblivion and pay our dues

How easy we forget, how losing doesn’t hurt
Memories begin to fade, feelings turn inert
Some wisdom we accumulate, as we assimilate
As we drive, fathom we the lessons of life

Much is done, much left undone
One thing is certain, we are nothing to no one
