If there was only one leaf
Left on a tree
What would it feel
What would it be

Would it be the strongest
That braved the Fall
Or the timidest one
Protected by all

Would it shout with glory
Proud invincible
Or scared and lonely
Waiting the inevitable

And if only one branch
Left to hold it
What would it think
What would it need

One ray of sunshine
One drop of rain
One little chirp
From one little bird

Singing its last song
La-la-la-lee

If there was only one road
Where would it lead

And if only one man
Was allowed to walk it
What would he take
What would he leave

His one little bag
How heavy would it be
And what if he was allowed

Just one memory?
