Outer-Plane Drifters

Further out, upside-down
Plane-lurking phantoms
Just a dream, all out of body?
Lovecraft knew, not just a fandom

One should take care in dreaming
That they may not slip away
Science and fantasy are merging
At Apollyon’s processed gateway

Intelligence gatherers delved too far
A collider may have been breached
What worldline drifted these CTCs
Where eldritch thoughts are reached?

A quasi-casual paradox
Reality Langoliers
Warping the barren manifold
Consuming planet-eaters

Inventors of man’s bodies
But certainly not his soul
Locusts scouring skylines
Seeking to devour them whole

Now plotting in high places
Chittering all systems astray
The Titanic was no mere accident
What secrets will you learn today?

A Media-spun acclimatization
Strangest things at twilight’s zone
Deceit arrived by the boundary
We must escape, and make it home

While social media you surf
For now these things ignored
Drinking lattes and sipping gossip
They’ll be gnawing at your door
