Mad screaming crowd
All around you
Couldn’t get through the concrete
Wall of your tranquility.
You seemed sad
Yet moved your head
to the tune
Of rock’n’roll playing
On stage.
Marble lines
Of your chin
And your cute nose
Pointing upwards
Hypnotised me
So instead of dancing madly
And singing along
I just stood there
In the epicentre
Of a smoky vortex
Staring at you
As if your tranquility
Was
Contagious
