Parents Are People?

They were your age once, 
_______parents.
People first. 
_______Parents second.
Law defying adults in the home, 
_______generous when they can be.
Burdened by instincts of protection, 
_______they are busy while exampling.
Parents feed,
_______and feed,
_____________and feed children when they can.
Parents a-a-annoy. 
_______And we (eventually) understand.
_____________Enough. Enough.
I do not want to see my parents
_______as their child sees them, anymore.
I want to see my parents
_______as others always have — as people.
A challenge, yes.
_______Probably parents can help…
