Perfect Harmony

I glance at you and

my heart leaps, and glows,

like a deer through deep grass,

warmed by the noon day’s sun,

And I wonder if you sense it in its flight,

this heart you have set alight,

and if by chance your heart does so spring,

and take flight at that same moment,

then the two shall merge as one to

fly together down life’s forest trail in

perfect harmony.
