Philosophy of a Vacuum

Art cannot exist in a vacuum

… but if it did,

dust would coat the edges, consume

space, fill the void with colour,

buttons, crumbs, tangled threads,

dead bugs, broken glass, shreds

of paper, backs of earrings,

hair clips, coins, wedding rings,

LEGO, lipstick, dried mud,

flaked skin and dried blood,

and other bits of human debris.
