Quiet Conversations in the Library

signprintables.com

Shhhh! and an Evil eye
from the librarian
If looks could kill, children just might die

Girl one and Girl two
Principal’s favorite crew

So is Girl one’s mom
Not her father Tom
Who is drunk today
Well, every day
Home-life not so calm

Beats her mother
Beats her sister
She’s his special other

Poor girl feels so numb
From her wounds, she may succumb

Girl two’s life is great
Abandoned, is her fate
Her mom drinks bourbon
Her loving Dad’s a Surgeon
In a very faraway state

Loving arms she longs for
She trades herself for those
Gone with daddy, as he left for something more

Their Secrets held by an oath
Sworn on mother’s grave by both

book-talk.com

Whispering insults they hurl
about the nerdy girl
who is over weight
Not fit for a date
And teeth just like a squirrel

They want to make her hurt
Turn their pain into hers
from the life that they advert

Whispers and giggles getting loud
From lives that aren’t so proud

Does anyone hear that cry?
Of children lost in a lie
Children in pain
Whose hearts were slain
and no one told them why

Shhhh! and an Evil eye,
From the librarian
If looks could kill, children just might die
