i am a chunk of wood thrown into the midst of a vast forest,
nowhere to be found.
in a solitary scene but ain’t lonely “darling, i have you and all those mess…”
you reach out to me,
your fingers trying to grip
a part of me yet you barely does
for my scraped skin begins to tear
and that’s all you got…
my body’s covered with beetles,
they’ve eaten half of me …
there i saw you,
leaving the wine on the edge
curving your lips into a smile
“oh my sweet, you can have all my mess…”
…you left in the scene with the assumption i have no need of you, and you no longer need me either.
