Requiem of Space

I once whispered
life eternal
through catacomb
and leather bound tome
of hearts broken beating
gristly & tough
and still —
as it were
not quite enough
to conjure you from
tragic sleep
and imbue your spirit
like sage aflame
in spaces where
______* calls my name

I am lost.

Out of space
and spacious
vacuum
I’m vacuumed
and sealed away
hopelessly lost
until
I find a semblance
in silence of thought
that drifts smoky
between the eyes
you’ve given me
to see

the spaces that you occupy
even when i try to hide
that bloom and wither within me

*Nobody
