The room, empty and silent
The cold envelopes my bones
The walls glisten with trails of old
The voices of memories
Call through the years
For my ears alone
A lump catches in my throat
My breath exhales as smoke
An involuntary shiver
Brings me back
To the room
Where I say goodbye
One last time
To the ghosts
