visions of a blurry highway

burned in my memory

like faded white lines trailing street lights and bumps in the road

a journey fueled by junk food and made for music

synthpop indie rock astronauts

riding an inflatable duck across the crowd

a bearded person in a blonde wig shaking a tambourine

a goddess in a leotard and a plastic victorian frame waved at me

confetti cannons erupting over waving arms and cheering voices

lights

so many flashing fog-filling lights

satisfaction found in a growing friendship

reminding you of your very first trip

six hours driving there and back

hoping your shit phone keeps you on track

kitty cat claws swiping to play

help you relax at the end of the day
