I’d stare at you as you’d walk past me,
Hoping you’d see in me, what you used to see.

We had a great time, until you got your phone,
You then left me hanging, I was all alone.

And then it rained, it rained so bad,
The damage it caused, did leave me sad.

I saw you were stranded, with no power or Wifi,
The only choices you had: Eat, sleep or read Sci-fi.

I’m glad you picked me, in the end,
And I gave you company, your oldest friend.

Waiting for the day, when we get together,
And hoping that happens, not just ‘cause of the bad weather

With Love,
Your Book.
