Silent Protest

Doing what is right in his eyes
Opponents blind to understanding,
While also judging harshly.
No one will pick him up.

On the field is where defiance lives
Never wavering from his task

Before the game begins
Every eye is upon him.
Needing to speak in silence, he
Descends to his new position
Eager for us to see why we should listen
Despite his consequences

Knowing they paid with their lives and it’s
Not considered a crime
Encourages him to drop
End the brutality.
