Take my silence
make sense of it
for I have lost the ability
to spell words out of feelings
that only coagulate and choke
purging mere disjointed letters
that heave but an exhausted sigh
from having to carry the burden
of conversations we never had
all those confessions between you and I
those were just a lie
I wrote, to justify
my love, which needed you
as an alibi.
