Where do you go,
when all your fears come alive
and your dreams merge with memory,
the quantum of your existence
a race against consequence?

Where is that place?
The theatre of bold deeds,
where the dance of the wicked
meets the judge’s sonata,
four movements of pure despair?

Tell the tale of yonder,
beyond the place of hope,
where the sun of the righteous goes to set
and in the dusk of indulgence
the head of the sinner rests
in shallow beds of guilt.
