Shoes that became my feet

Become them no longer

Used them on the hills

Both down and upward

Receipts that came with them

Were thrown out long ago

Thought my toes could match

The rate they could grow

Our chases on campus

My memory recalls

As bare feet give way

To your sprinting soles
